Taconic Farms, Inc. is a mouse and rat breeding facility raising high quality animals for bioresearch. The Germantown facility consists of more than 50 buildings and is in the process of improving quality control measures. With the improvements, the electrical demand load is projected to double from current demand. C.T. Male continues to provide existing systems documentation, development of one-line and plan drawings, systems analysis and design and utility coordination, and negotiation for systems upgrade. Project includes: 5 MVA of connected load with 100% generation backup, aggregation of three 480V secondary services into one 13.2kV primary metered service, primary switchgear, padmounted transformer replacement and installation, underground feeders, generator installations and replacements, secondary service upgrades and panelboard installations.
