Dominion Transmission, Inc.
C.T. Male has provided environmental permitting and inspection services for Dominion Transmission, Inc. (Dominion) since 1992. Dominion is a provider of natural gas transportation and operates the world's largest underground natural gas storage system. It maintains 10,000 miles of pipeline in six states – Ohio, West Virginia, Pennsylvania, New York, Maryland and Virginia.
C.T. Male has worked with Dominion on nearly 100 projects throughout Dominion’s coverage area. Projects have involved new transmission pipelines, new compressor stations, and maintenance and system upgrades on existing facilities.
Specific services have included:
- Performing delineations of wetlands and other waters of the U.S. in accordance with the 1987 Army Corps Methodology
- Biological surveys
- Threatened and endangered species reviews
- Preparation of site-specific erosion and sedimentation control plans, and stormwater pollution prevention plans
- Preparing wetland permit applications, including preconstruction notifications and Section 404 Individual Permit Applications for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers
- Developing wetland mitigation plans
- Coordinating archeological work
- Preparing Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) Resource Reports
C.T. Male has also provided services on projects during the construction phase, including construction inspection and overseeing compliance with all state and federal environmental permit conditions, training of construction personnel and preparing Implementation and Maintenance Plans.
