Special Area Permitting -Selected Project Experience

Environmental Permits And Inspection For A-R Cable Services-NY, Inc.'s Fiber Optic Cable Hudson River Crossing Project, Bethlehem And Schodack, New York.  Applied for environmental permits and approvals from the United States Army Corps of Engineers (USACOE), New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (NYSDEC), and the New York State Department of State (NYSDOS) Coastal Zone Management Program for the construction/installation of a fiber optic cable line beneath the Hudson River.  Wetlands delineation, coordinated with the New York State Office of General Services to obtain a permanent easement beneath the Hudson River.  Full-time environmental inspection was provided by C.T. Male representatives. 

Health and Safety Services for Niagara Mohawk directional drilling beneath the Hudson River and coordination with the National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS), Rensselaer, New York.  Obtained Federal, State and local permits and approvals including a Nationwide Permit No. 3 from the USACOE and a Coastal Zone Consistency Determination from the NYS Department of State for a Niagara Mohawk Power Corporation gas line "replacement-in-kind" project.  Project involved directional drilling beneath the Hudson River and coordination with the National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS). Additional services included hydrographic and topographic surveying and environmental investigations. 

Village of Hunter WWTP Upgrades – Four Individually Owned Facilities.  Engineering for the design of wastewater treatment plant upgrades at four privately owned facilities mandated by NYCDEP as part of an extensive watershed protection program.  Completed the necessary design and bidding documents, managed the bidding process, and provided construction phase services for installation of the UV disinfection units.
