  • 3-5 years design and construction administration experience as a registered architect in New York State. NCARB certified a plus
  • Broad-ranging portfolio of project experience, including commercial, municipal, and public works project types
  • Strong working knowledge of building systems. Must be production proficient in the current version of AutoCAD and CSI MasterFormat specifications. Knowledge of REVIT is a plus
  • Demonstrated skill at managing scope, schedule and budget of projects, including estimating production efforts, project coordination, and building codes.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills and leadership abilities in order to provide quality client service as a member of the project design team.

Asbestos Project Monitors

C.T. Male Associates has multiple opportunities for Asbestos Project Monitors in Yonkers and the Capital District area to work on asbestos abatement projects.

These positions will provide on-site representation during asbestos abatement activity at a variety of sites.  Candidates will collect air samples during abatement activity, monitor Contractor activities and provide daily documentation of project progress.   

The ideal candidates must be NYSDOL certified and trained as a NYSDOL Project Monitor/Air Tech with 1+ years of experience. Knowledge of applicable environmental regulations (NYSDOL ICR-56). MS Office experience a plus. Must have excellent record keeping skills.

Construction Observers – Latham & Poughkeepsie

We have full time opportunities for Construction Observers for projects in both our Latham, NY and Poughkeepsie, NY offices. These positions will provide field and related office services on construction projects as a representative of the firm.

These positions require familiarity with:

  • Construction survey procedures.
  • Establishment of line and grade for construction.
  • Method of various means of transfer of line and grade.
  • General utility construction (water, sewer, drainage, roadway).
  • Determination of pipe capacities, velocities and slopes.
  • Local, State and Federal laws in regard to environmental health regulations, and construction standards.
  • Local, State and Federal laws in regard to labor standard.
  • Standard details and construction specifications of the firm.
  • Project recordkeeping including daily reports, photographs, quantity tracking, equipment and manpower tracking, and documenting installed work for record drawings.
  • Familiarity with traffic control and OSHA protocol.
  • Construction of highways.
  • General earthwork, site work, retaining walls, and concrete structures.

QUALIFICATIONS

Associate’s degree (A. A.) in Civil Engineering Technology program or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.  Must possess a valid driver’s license.

3D Laser Scanner Drafter

We have a full-time opportunity for a 3D Laser Scanner Drafter in our Latham, NY office. This position will be responsible for drafting various types of survey maps using AutoCAD and Leica Geosystems HDS Cyclone mapping / modeling software for internal and external clients. Demonstrates knowledge of surveying and laser scanner terminology. Utilize Leica Geosystems HDS Cyclone Mapping/Modeling software to manage point cloud data and transfer data into AutoCAD Civil 3D for mapping purposes. Conform to AutoCAD layering standards as prescribed. Prepare a wide variety of maps, along with plot plans and profiles.

Education/License Requirements
