C.T. Male Associates performed the following work for Dominion Transmission associated with planned maintenance and/or replacement projects to their natural gas pipelines:

Utica, NY Sites:

Nowadaga Creek, Town of Stark, Herkimer County, NY

The proposed project involved the maintenance of existing natural gas pipeline UT8 LN30, a sixteen (16) inch pipeline that was exposed 3-4 feet within center of Nowadaga Creek which is classified as Class C(T) stream by New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (NYSDEC).  The proposed repair work included a line lowering and replacement and the installation of a downstream cross vane to act as grade control.  A wetland delineation, topographic survey, threatened and endangered species file review request letters were sent to NYSDEC and United States Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS) and a national register of historic places file review request letter was sent to New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation (NYS OPRHP).  A Joint Permit Application (JPA) was submitted to NYSDEC and the Corps.  An Article 15, Title 5, Stream Disturbance Permit and Section 401 Water Quality Certification were granted by NYSDEC.  The proposed work was determined to be covered under the Corps Nationwide Permit 3 for the proposed maintenance work and Nationwide Permit 13 for bank stabilization.

Unnamed Tributary to Fulmer Creek, Town of German Flatts, Herkimer County, NY

The proposed project involved the maintenance of existing natural gas pipeline UT10, a sixteen (16) inch pipeline that was exposed approximately 6 feet within the eastern bank of Unnamed Tributary of Fulmer Creek (classified as a Class C stream by NYSDEC).  The proposed work included a line lowering and replacement.  A wetland delineation, topographic survey, threatened and endangered species file review request letters were sent to NYSDEC and United States Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS) and a national register of historic places file review request letter was sent to NYS OPRHP.  A JPA was submitted to NYSDEC and the Corps.  The proposed work was determined to be covered under Nationwide Permit 3 which includes a blanket Section 401 Water Quality Certification.

LN 550 Higby Road Pipeline Maintenance Project, Town of Frankfort, Herkimer County, NY

A wetland delineation and topographic survey were completed for this project.  Threatened and endangered species file review request letters were sent to NYSDEC and United States Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS) and a national register of historic places file review request letter was sent to NYS OPRHP.  Based on the results of this work no environmental permits were determined to be required for this project.

Tioga, PA Sites: 

Meeker Modification Site, Town of Farmington, Tioga County, PA

A wetland delineation, topographic survey, Pennsylvania Natural Diversity Inventory inquiry and an erosion and sedimentation control plan were completed for this project.  Based on the results of this work, no environmental permits were determined to be required for this project.

TW 504 Drip Site, Town of Lawrence, Tioga County, PA

A wetland delineation, topographic survey and Pennsylvania Natural Diversity Inventory were completed for this project.  Based on the results of this work no permits were determined to be required for this project.
