State Environmental Quality Review Act (SEQR) Update – EAF Mapper Now Available
State Environmental Quality Review Act (SEQR) Update–NYSDEC has developed a new web-based mapping tool for answering some of the location-specific questions contained in the new short and full Environmental Assessment Forms (EAFs). This new tool is a web-based GIS program available on NYSDEC’s website on their EAF Forms page http://www.dec.ny.gov/permits/6191.html. Now with a few key strokes important information pertaining to streams, wetlands, archeological site sensitivity, aquifers, and threatened and endangered species can be readily obtained for either an individual tax map parcel or a defined project area involving one or more tax map parcels. For more information regarding the use and limitations of this new EAF mapping tool, please contact John Munsey at [email protected] or at 518.786.7496.
