Work included record research and plotting of deeds and maps of the obtained information. Using this information, reconnaissance was performed to recover pertinent boundary information. A field survey was then performed that included the location of visible improvements on and adjacent to the property along with the location of sidewalks, curbing, drainage structures and other visible utilities. Boundary lines were determined by a Licensed Land Surveyor. Mapping was prepared using AutoCAD Civil 3D version 2017.
C.T. Male Associates has prepared a topographic survey and clearance analysis of a portion of Old Route 52 at a railroad crossing located approximately 0.1 mile southeast of the intersection with Seaman Road. The limits of the survey were approximately 100 feet either side of the railroad crossing to determine if there was sufficient ground clearance for a low-boy tractor trailer to drive across the road without actually driving the truck across.
A 3D Model was prepared using a high definition laser scanner. The truck in question was also scanned at a different location and a digital model of it was created. Using Revit software, the model of the truck was inserted into the railroad crossing model and an analysis of potential conflicts was performed.
